As a Senior Backend Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our backend systems. You will work closely with our other software and firmware teams to ensure our software solutions are robust, scalable, and efficient. Your expertise in Python and your extensive experience in backend development will be instrumental in driving our projects forward.

What you will do:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and systems using Python
• Collaborate with frontend developers, firmware engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions
• Optimize software for maximum speed and scalability
• Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure smooth functionality
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge

Your Profile

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in backend development with a strong focus on Python
• You are a good communicator and mentor for junior developers.
• Understanding of the threading limitations of Python, and multi-process architecture
• Proven experience with RESTful API design and implementation
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Strong knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL, Cassandra) and expertise with in-memory caching solutions (Redis or comparable)
• Experience with streaming data tools such as Apache Kafka or similar
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken); proficiency in Swedish is a plus
